There are a number of interesting cycle routes within the area which are both safe for families and the novice. For the keen cyclist - the new Exe Estuary Trail and the old train track cycle path between Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth are both within striking distance of Ladram Bay. For the super fit, try the Tarka Trail or the splendid Coast to Coast. 

Woodbury Common also has miles of cross country cycling for those who prefer the more challenging trails and riding through the country lanes is another interesting way to explore the area.

Which ever route you choose, be prepared for some very steep hills to climb but with some stunning views and relaxing rides when you come down the other side.
