Visitor Stories: The Ridley’s

Kevin Ridley has been coming to Ladram Bay since he was a baby in his carry cot, 48 years ago. The place holds many special memories as he and his wife had their first holiday here as teenagers!

Kevin said: “Ladram Bay is an extension of our family. We spend as much time here as we possibly can.

The RidleysOur children get jobs here during the summer so that they can spend all their free time here, and we come every other weekend throughout the year as we live in Bristol so it’s not too far.

“The park has changed since I first came but the essence has remained the same which is what is so special. For example, the same family runs the park so we see friendly faces and there is a consistency which makes us feel reassured and safe.

“There is a real sense of community which is important for the whole family. My son, Olly, said that if he could live here, he would. Ladram Bay is part of his life. It is relaxing, safe and friendly.”
