Just a short stroll down our slipway will take you to our private, sand-washed pebble beach. Sitting in a sheltered bay on a stunning stretch of Jurassic coastline, our beach is perfect for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing in the summer sun.
For some coastal exploring, you can hire a kayak, paddle board or a motor boat. It’s a popular fishing spot, too, either from the shore or from one of our boats. At the far end of the beach you’ll find some fabulous rock pools to investigate – always a big hit with families.
At the bottom of the slipway is the Beach Shack, our beach kiosk, where you can cool down with an ice cream or cold drink, or choose from a range of light snacks. You can also hire wind breaks, deck chairs, kayaks and boats from here.
We don’t allow dogs onto the beach itself, dogs are permitted within the Beach Shack and decked areas.

Go hunting for crabs and creepy-crawlies in the rock pools at the far end of the beach, or just hire a deck chair, sit back and relax.
Why not hire a boat from the Beach Kiosk at the bottom of the slipway? You can explore everything Ladram Bay has to offer and more. By boat you can getright up close to the beautiful, natural sandstone stacks, which sit just below the low-tide mark.
Located at the bottom of the slipway is the beach kiosk. Here you can hire a kayak to go out and explore the crystal blue waters of Ladram Bay. Kayak, swim or splash around in our naturally sheltered bay.
From beach to barbecue – fishing at Ladram Bay
Ladram’s private secluded cove is the perfect place for a spot of fishing. Choose between rod fishing from the shore or hiring a boat from the Beach kiosk. The attendant will tell you where the fish are biting. With a bit of good luck and patience you’ll have some fresh mackerel for your evening barbecue. (Please note BBQ’s are not permitted on the beach, and raised units must be used.)
Alternatively, if you prefer freshwater fishing ask at Reception for more information about local hot spots.
Nets at the ready – rock pooling
Right at the end of the beach we have some fantastic rock pools, full of interest – especially for youngsters. Armed with the nets and buckets available from the Beach Shack, your kids will entertain themselves for hours.
